Dear Friends of Moveable Feast,
Happy New Year to each of you!
2020 will undoubtedly be a year of change and new opportunities at Moveable Feast. Our clients and our mission will continue to remain at the forefront of everything we do, just as they have for the last 30 years. The organization, under the leadership of the Board’s Transition Committee, is currently focused on identifying the individual that will lead the organization forward into its next 30-year chapter. That search is now getting underway and we anticipate it taking several months to identify the organization’s next permanent Executive Director.
In the interim, the Transition Committee is taking measures to ensure the organization has the executive leadership needed to continue to serve our existing clients as effectively as possible, and strategically position ourselves for continued future growth and expansion of our services.
This week, we made an important step in that process. On behalf of the Transition Committee and the Board of Directors, I am excited to announce that Jessica Kohnen will be joining the Moveable Feast team as our Interim Executive Director.
Some of you may very well know Jessica. She’s a longtime volunteer and soon-to-be 8x Ride for the Feast participant with the Fierce Chicks team.
Jessica is also one of the founders and managing partners of hyve, a consulting firm that works with mission-driven organizations across the country. She has 20+ years of experience in the nonprofit sector including two stints as executive director of local organizations.
Moveable Feast’s mission is near and dear to Jessica, and both she and her entire team at hyve are excited to work with the organization through this transition. Jessica will provide day-to-day leadership and direction, and other hyve team members will work with her to provide additional strategic support to the Board and Staff throughout this process.
As we enter 2020, we want to thank you for your continued support of our mission to feed people, fight disease and foster hope. Please join us in welcoming Jessica to Moveable Feast!
