FIMC Accreditation

Moveable Feast has earned accreditation from the Food is Medicine Coalition (FIMC).

With a growing national food is medicine movement, the FIMC Medically Tailored Meal Intervention Accreditation Criteria and Requirements (FIMC MTM ACR) is a groundbreaking standard designed to ensure the highest quality of care for individuals living with life-challenging illnesses like cancer, HIV/AIDS, diabetes, and kidney failure. FIMC Accreditation provides guidelines for agencies delivering MTM interventions, establishing consistency and standards in the food is medicine field. Moveable Feast’s accreditation highlights its unwavering commitment to providing top-tier, quality nutrition services to thousands of adults and children in Maryland.

Give the Gift of Health

At Moveable Feast, we know good health starts at home. To make sure our clients honor their own health needs, we need to make sure everyone in the home has a meal at the table.

We are now delivering family meal kits to each client with dependents in the home. In January, we will begin serving mothers postpartum, and we expect the number of children we serve to TRIPLE.

Donate to Moveable Feast this holiday season to ensure we can FEED FAMILIES, fortify health, and foster hope in Maryland.

Our Mission:
Feed People | Fortify Health | Foster Hope

Improve the health of Marylanders experiencing food insecurity and chronic illness by preparing and delivering medically tailored meals and providing nutrition education, thereby achieving racial, social, and health equity.

Our movement to reach, teach and feed Marylanders living with serious chronic illness continues to gain momentum as medically tailored meals are recognized on a national level for their contribution to improved health and reduced costs. It is time to set a place at the table for anyone in need of our services.

Our Commitment

Moveable Feast has served Maryland for over thirty years, bringing healthy food and compassion to those living with chronic illnesses. The organization was founded during the height of the AIDS epidemic in 1989, to provide food, hope, and love to those living with HIV/AIDS, many of whom were members of the LGBTQ+ community. Today, our service extends to Marylanders living with heart disease, diabetes, and cancer, among other serious chronic illnesses.

We continue to drive our 30-year commitment forward to deliver food as medicine to an increasing number of Marylanders living without the necessary access, financial resources, and support to achieve the best quality of life.

With proven performance and an evidence-based approach to medically tailored nutrition, we firmly believe in the power of food – and the force of our work – to fortify health.

Ride for the Feast

As we look back on Ride for the Feast 2024 it is with a tremendous feeling of gratitude and respect. Gratitude for the commitment to supporting Moveable Feast’s clients and respect for the individual dedication and collective accomplishment exhibited by over 250 cyclists and volunteers this year.
