Join us for a historian guided walking tour and pub crawl of Mt. Vernon’s OG Gayborhood in support of Ride For The Feast! We will go for about a 1.5 mile walk focusing on the coded and hidden history of queerness in Mt. Vernon. There will be 3 watering hole stops along the way where community members will discuss the local, modern realities of HIV. Culture and medicine have come long way since Reagan Era abstinence scare tactics were employed on us in sex ed. There’s some positive in poz these days, join us to hear all about it.
We meet at Leon’s Backroom at 4 pm and will walk a loop, ending back here by 7 pm.
