For our clients Food is Medicine. By eating right, our clients can strengthen their bodies and better fight their diseases. So we make sure they get the best meals possible delivered right to their doorstep at no cost. Dietitians on staff work hard to develop nutritious menus, tailored to 9 different diets in order to meet clients health and cultural needs (for example; renal, diabetic, no seafood, etc.). We make every meal in our kitchen at N. Milton Avenue and even use fresh fruits and vegetables from our community garden and local community farms such as First Fruit Farms, whenever possible.
Our staff and volunteer drivers deliver meals to clients in Baltimore City and 14 Maryland counties – some as many as 140 miles away from our N. Milton Avenue kitchen.
Illnesses we serve
Through Home-Delivered Meals Program, we provide:
- Up to 18 healthy meals, frozen entrees, delivered weekly
- A bag of up to 5 servings of fresh fruit and produce a week
- A friendly visit and a warm hug to let often-isolated individuals know that they matter and that we care
