Ride
For the Feast on
May 17-18 2008
Moveable Feast is still looking
for sponsors, riders, and
underwriters who want to be a
part of the excitement in riding
140 miles from Rehoboth Delaware
to Baltimore Maryland for
our 6th annual Ride for the
Feast. Last year, more than 70
riders raised over $172,000 for
Moveable Feast and we're already
up to almost 90 riders this
year. But that's not good
enough: don't you want to
be our 100th rider?

Dining
Out for Life on
September 18, 2008
September 18, 2008, thousands of
people in the Greater Baltimore
Metropolitan Area will
participate in one of the most
rewarding dining experiences of
the year. Moveable Feast's
Dining Out for Life event will
raise tens of thousands of
dollars, thanks to the
generosity of community-minded
restaurants, sponsors, and those
who dine out with their families
and friends that day to help our
neighbors in need.

Moveable Feast Facilities
Gone
are the days of leasing basements and
decrepit restaurant shells. The facility,
which will be shared by several non-profit
organizations is located in east Baltimore
at the corners of Milton and Ashland
Avenues. We have worked hard to secure
completely independent funding so NO funding
associated with client meals or services is
going into this building.
Special thanks to
Moveable Feast staff member Ted Blankenship for his
project overview. All meals were
prepared and delivered without
interruption. Also special thanks
to the Volunteer Corps of American for
helping to provide the bodies for the
actual move.
Highlights of
the facility include:
-
Formal Class room space (on the
second floor) for the culinary arts
programs.
-
Meeting space for events, etc.
-
A HUGE kitchen space.
-
A board room (which looks out onto
the kitchen for inspiration)

new facility.
