Event Details

Here’s another great #TakeOutThursday livestreaming event!

Join Baltimore-based composer/pianist Peter Dayton for an hour of riffs, improvisations, and meanderings around some of the best-loved showtunes and jazz standards. Come enjoy music from when life was young, and oh so mellow. Peter is an active composer and concert impresario in Baltimore, having staged numerous local concerts including May She Love: Songs & Opera Celebrating Sappho & Stein and To Celebrate the Need: New Vocal Music by Peter Dayton. He is also the host of the podcast The Naked Truth: Queer Artist Interviews, which seeks to highlight queer artist’s life, dive into their work, and explore connections between their creative practice and their sexuality. Peter held the title of Mr. Maryland Leather 2017 during the 2016-2017 year, focusing on equity and inclusion in queer spaces.

During this show we’ll be doing a special tribute to Rob Hoehn, who recently passed away and was a long-time supporter of Moveable Feast. Peter will perform a song from one of Rob’s favorite shows.

We hope you order some fantastic takeout from our Dining Out For Life restaurant partners and then enjoy this free show from home on Facebook Live. For a list of all restaurants and more information about our VIRTUAL Dining Out For Life event, visit www.mfeast.org/diningoutforlife.
